About Sporting Longdale FC.
The club currently plays in the Norwich and District Sunday League, Eastern Evening News Division 4A, and are based at Rackheath Playing Fields, Green Lane West, (between Wroxham and Norwich).
The club was founded in 2003 by Colin Seal, and finished 10th in the Norwich and District Crusader Sunday Football League in their first season.
With a name change to Sporting Longdale FC, the 2004/2005 season saw them finish 6th in Crusader League, and also narrowly lose 5-3 in the semi-final of the Culver Cup. The club finished 3rd the following season.
Last season, 2006/2007, the club took their place in the Evening News League and recorded a respectable 8th place finish. They also reached the 3rd round of the County Cup, losing to Fowler FC of the Lynn and District Sunday Football League.
